Iconic Movies Filmed at Lincoln Center

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City is quite the visual landmark—Revson Fountain, the Metropolitan Opera House, Avery Fisher Hall. So many iconic visuals collected in one center on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, many drawing some of Hollywood’s top filmmakers to the destination.

“It will be a beacon to the world,” The New York Times wrote in 1959, just as ground was broken for construction of Lincoln Center. Beyond some of the world’s greatest art taking place inside the performance spaces, that beacon has been cemented on the silver screen in a handful of classic Hollywood films.
